Sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a premium action game developed by Infinity Ward for PC. It is the sequel to the 2019 reboot of the Modern Warfare series and is the 19th installment in the franchise overall, and also marks the return of Task Force 141.

Compared to the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II brings with it new game modes, updated graphics, and a much improved AI. It also introduces an overhaul to the vehicle system, hyping long-time fans of the franchise.

The return of Task Force 141

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2019) has become the franchise's most popular game to date. It received universal acclaim for its revolutionary gameplay and its rather compelling narrative. With its direct sequel Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II receiving its Season 2 update, players are once again treated to the Hardcore multiplayer mode.

The bulk of changes and new additions in this sequel will build upon the gameplay that the first entry introduced. Some of the most notable things you can expect are better AI in its campaign and co-op modes, improved water physics, and an overhaul to the vehicle system. It will also see the return of fan-favorite multiplayer modes, Knockout and Prison Rescue.

There are several reasons why people love this game:

  1. Multiplayer mode
  2. Storyline
  3. Graphics
  4. Sound design
  5. Nostalgia

The Gunsmith system has also seen some tweaks that will allow you to fine-tune your weapon attachments to a greater degree. Story-wise, players can now follow the MW2 storyline with the sequel to Episode One: Atomgrad, still with the intense combination of stealth, action, and puzzle thrown into the mix. Despite these improvements, the game can crash from time to time.

A thrilling first-person shooter

Throughout the entire game, you can get your hands on a 100-tier battle pass that offers new weapons and cosmetics. Moreover, one operator and two DLC weapons are available, with data miners discovering possible hints in the game files. Players can also see the iconic Intervention sniper rifle from the Modern Warfare series making a return. Plus, operators Alejandro Vargas, Valeria Garza, and Alex Keller are also on the roster.

What’s new in Season 5 Reloaded?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s Season 5 Reloaded comes with a new multiplayer map, Resurgence mode, DMZ missions, exciting events, and more. All of these are programmed to carry over to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The new Fort Resurgence map includes the Al Bagra Fortress and its surroundings; it also has its own playlist. Meanwhile, the Armored Royale mode makes a comeback from Call of Duty: Warzone.

In Armored Royale mode, each squad possesses an upgradeable MRAP vehicle and as long as it stands, the squad is free to redeploy. There’s also a new mode called Gunfight Snipers, wherein players can team up in duos and show their expertise in wielding snipers and marksman rifles. Additionally, tiers 3 to 5 of the Shadow Company missions are now available.

Besides that, social features Play Again and Friend Recommender are added to the game, as well. The former allows newly formed squadmates to stick together after each match if they would like to do so, while the latter uses in-game algorithms to recommend potential friends or squadmates to players.

A whole new experience

The Modern Warfare sub-series is considered to be one of the best games that the franchise has to offer. Years after the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), you will finally be able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. It took its time to get to this point, but it does come with plenty of new additions and improvements, which makes it worth playing.

PROS
